Avatr and Huawei Deepen Strategic Cooperation to Support the Development of Next-Generation Models

SGC News: December 12th. It has been officially announced that Avatr Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Avatr") and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei") have signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen. This collaboration introduces a new model to elevate their partnership to the next phase. According to the agreement, the two companies will engage in in-depth cooperation across product development, marketing, and ecosystem services to support Avatr in creating its next-generation series of vehicles, delivering advanced intelligent mobility and lifestyle experiences to users.

Xu Zhijun, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman, highlighted that Avatr represents a pioneering initiative in Huawei's efforts to assist automakers in building “great cars” and making “great cars.” Both teams will collaborate closely, guided by the concept of software-defined vehicles, to create a series of models based on a new architecture with leading-edge technology. The signing of this comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement signifies a further strengthening of their partnership in the high-end intelligent automotive sector. It positions the two companies as leaders in the era of automotive intelligence while creating greater value for users and society.

Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile and Chairman of Avatr Technology, noted that as the partnership enters its second five-year phase, this marks a key moment in deepening the strategic cooperation between Huawei and Avatr. Following the milestone of Avatr securing investment from Huawei, this agreement opens up broader opportunities for collaboration, driving high-quality resources and top talent to converge at Avatr. Furthermore, Avatr will serve as the premier practice base for Changan Automobile and Huawei to implement their innovative ideas and technologies for intelligent electric vehicles.

Since establishing their strategic partnership in January 2019, Huawei and Avatr have worked extensively to advance intelligent automotive development. Together, they have launched the Avatr 11, Avatr 12, Avatr 07, and the recently MIIT-registered new mid-size car, the Avatr 06, achieving their goal of "four vehicles in four years." Notably, the three models already on the market surpassed monthly sales of 10,000 units consecutively in October and November this year.
