Do Not Buy the iCAR V23 Yet

The iCAR V23 is set to launch in December 2024 and has already gained significant popularity among customers. However, SellGoodCar.com advises against purchasing this vehicle for now.

Chery iCAR V23 - SellGoodCar.Com

Reasons:

  1. The V23's pure electric version comes with an 81kWh battery, offering a CLTC range of 501km. However, due to its tall body and high wind resistance, real-world experience suggests that its winter range could drop to just over 200km—a disappointing performance. If your city lacks sufficient charging infrastructure, this could cause major inconveniences.
  2. A hybrid version of the V23, similar to Li Auto's design, is currently under testing and will be released later. This hybrid version will be much more practical, offering electric power for short trips and gasoline for long distances or emergencies.

We strongly recommend waiting for the hybrid version to launch next year before making your purchase.
