As a new powertrain variant, the Tank 300 Diesel version shares the same exterior design as the gasoline-powered Challenger and Conqueror models, featuring dual circular headlights and a three-bar front grille. The vehicle is also equipped with black fender flares, a black roof rack, black exterior mirror housings, and a rear-mounted spare tire.

In terms of dimensions, the Tank 300 Diesel version measures 4,750 mm (4,775 mm with specific configurations) in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,903 mm (1,927 mm with specific configurations) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

For power, the Tank 300 Diesel version is equipped with a 2.4T diesel engine, coded E24D, that delivers a maximum power of 137 kW. In comparison, the existing Tank 300 gasoline version features a 2.0T gasoline engine with a maximum power of 167 kW. Additionally, the diesel variant offers towing capacities of 750 kg (unbraked) and 2,500 kg (braked).

In terms of competition, the current market offers limited diesel-powered SUVs, with the Beijing BJ40 Blade Hero Edition being a comparable rugged diesel SUV. The BJ40 is powered by a 2.0T diesel engine delivering a maximum power of 120 kW, with a price range of 155,800 to 189,800 yuan. Compared to it, the Tank 300 Diesel version's 2.4T diesel engine has a larger displacement and slightly better performance specifications.
